Breakthrough at the PDC

In November 2020, Clayton teamed up with Gerwyn Price to represent Wales in the World Cup of Darts. They secured victory, marking Clayton's first major title at the PDC. The following year, in 2021, Clayton claimed his first major individual title by winning The Masters.

Success in the Premier League Darts

Impressed by his remarkable performances, Clayton was invited to participate in the Premier League Darts 2021. The prestigious tournament turned out to be a huge success for him, as he emerged as the winner by defeating José de Sousa in the final with a scoreline of 11-5.

Triumphs at the World Grand Prix and World Series of Darts Finals

In October 2021, Clayton added two more significant titles to his name. First, he secured victory in the World Grand Prix by defeating his compatriot and defending champion, Gerwyn Price, with a score of 5-1 in sets. Later that same month, he triumphed in the World Series of Darts Finals, defeating Dimitri Van den Bergh in the final with a score of 11-6 in legs.
